the much awaited blog update

well well well.

It's been awhile hasn't it?

The Easter holidays have begun for me and I've been busy catching up on sleep, vcd marathoning, shopping, and doing all those random household chores that have most patiently awaited to be done. Life's been kinda boring to be honest (though I'm loving every single minute of this new-found freedom), thus the lack of blogs. And I hate it when I seem to be the only person posting so I try and abstain until somebody else puts something up. Besides, so many people come and go without leaving a trace, which is annoying cos what's the tag board for if you decide to be a stealthy little rat? hahaha. Pardon me, that wasn't meant to be mean. Just imagine me saying it with a nice tinge of sarcasm added to a dash of cheekiness... well, you get the point.

So, I've been living in a house with 2 of my future housemates for the past 2 weeks and it's been quite a new experience I must say. It's never easy to live with friends I guess... you kinda need to learn (quickly!) how to give and take and tolerate all the nonsense that gets thrown your way. Things like having the toilet seat left up, having loud rock music blasting through the entire house, dishes left unwashed and piling up to the ceiling... so many times I needed to remind myself that there are certainly some of my idiosyncrasies that drive those guys mad too. And then again, it's so nice to have friends to tease and talk to, to collapse on the floor in fits of laughter together, and to cook and clean and just to enjoy each other's company. This whole living together business is such a complex one... and so it flummoxes me as to why this difficulty never seemed apparent to me in a family setting. Which probably goes to show how special the familial relationship is, don't you think? Family. *sigh* how I do miss it. To be honest, I usually try and keep 'homesickness' at the back of my mind so it doesn't usually affect me much. It's just that I've been having a string of dreams about mum and dad and gor that's got me all thoughtful and 'melancholic' (actually, not really la. But the word 'melancholy' makes me sound like a super sensitive Romeo ma... which seems quite the apt way to end this weird paragraph. hahaha).

Anyway, on to lighter topics. SPRING is officially the season of the month (and the next few to come!) And with that comes sunlight, which leads to slight warmth (think 7 degrees C... not very warm hor?), which results in many a craving for ice-cream! yum! It's been a while since I last had ice-cream so I was thrilled thrilled thrilled. *slurps* Ben&Jerry's is expensive though, I only had it cos of an after-project high (remember the report that I told you all about?) and I doubt I'll be having it in a while. lol. Wow. I didn't know I was capable of writing such a long essay just about ice-cream. My BSing skills have improved tremendously, no? hahaha.

Right, what else can I write about just to lengthen this post so as to reward all our faithful 'blogders' (erhem, according to a certain xiaxue?) who have been checking this site daily... mm... Oh, you know what. My 有眼不视泰山 the friends actually said that Lee Hom is NOT cute. And accused me of having bad taste! Wahlau! 让老娘七窍生烟,双眸发火,紧握拳头 (pardon the 假成语, my Chinese not as 强 as the 武林盟主, still can write long letter to 李敖. I think I'll need to go home and read 武侠小说 + 写文章 everyday to reach that kind of standard). mm... as you can see my writing has made a full swing to singlish and I think that's great. I didn't know that I could 换来换去 so easy. hahaha. OK, I'm sorry this entry's really random and FOC. As I've said before, there really isn't much to update about so I hope this hasn't bored you to death.
